ACTV Video Jerusalem Youth Group Day 1 | 28/10/15
Today was our first (official) day of the Youth Department’s ACTV Video Youth Group’s 4th year!
The staff and volunteers eagerly prepared for the arrival of the new ACTV participants, setting out tea and coffee, sliced vegetables and making a delicious and hot vegetable soup.
Timid but excited teens arrived to begin their video adventures, sharing past videos and experiences and getting to know one another. We started the learning process with the art of film and framing, as well as utilizing the video software programs, first filming from various different angles and then viewing and discussing each others work. We talked about the different effects on the viewer created by the framing of the footage. By the end of the evening, the group had split into partners to begin making short, creative, artistic video exercises.
